Reports have surfaced indicating that the Walt Disney Company is planning to bring its magic to Kings Mountain, North Carolina with a new data center.
A report by the Shelby Star previously indicated that a deed for the transaction had been filed on the 24th of last month in Cleveland County.
The facility would be constructed on 26 acres of land within the citys T5 data center park.
Meanwhile, the Kings Mountain city council is seeking two grants to extend a waterline to the park, signaling a need for the possible data center.
Despite the news, city officials are keeping quiet on the matter and are referring all questions to the states Department of Commerce.
Major companies such as Facebook, Apple, and Google currently have data centers in North Carolina.
